High alumina Cement CA-65-HCA60 is a kind of high alumina cement with Al2O3 con-tent 60-68% stipulated in the new standard GB201-2000.Before pure aluminate cement appeared in China,a kind of refactory cement with low CaO and high Al2O3 was developed in order to get better refractory properties for concrete.It is called
high alumina cement CA65 according to its Al2O3 content and industrial standard was set up as JC236.It has achieved very good result as a hydraulic binder for refactory concrete since then.After 20 years development,a new type of high strength and high alumina cement CA65 came out in 1995.Its main mineralogical phase is CA2,which is used in the project of flow-directing slot of satellite-launching pad to confect low-ablation refractory concrete.Along with the successful development of pure aluminate cement in China,the hydrohardening bond of low CaO high Al2O3 is one of the necessary materials when confectig refractory and low cement castables,but its price is high and so some customers bring forward to use a kind of cement with Al2O3 content less than 70% with which the cost is lower.Therefore,the pure aluminate cement CA65was developed.At present,we have two kinds of CA65 products,one is made by calcining industrial Aluminium Oide and selected limestone, which is called pure aluminate cement CA65P and its main mineralogical phase is CA,and the other is made by calcining fine natural bauxite and limestone,which is called Aluminate Cement CA65-H.Because they have different properties and usages,please choose them carefully in order to avoid unnecessary loss.
